Leefah
sprawled herself onto a towel next to Chasity and Georgia. She sighed with relief,
“Its so nice to sit back and relax like this” she mumbled.
Chasity rolled onto her side, “Leelee
my dear, would you mind putting some sun tan lotion on me?”
Leefah rolled her eyes, “No… I
would mind…”
Chasity rolled onto her stomach
and raised her feet into the air, “But Leeleeeeeeeeeee” she pouted sticking out
her lips.
Leefah looked over, “I SAID NO!”
Chasity tsked. She sat up and
stomped away, “I’m going to go get some drinks!”
Leefah slid her sunglasses onto
her face, “You do that…”
Georgia sat up and looked at
Leefah next. “Um… Leefah...” she asked innocently.
Leefah opened her eyes, “Oh, hey
Georgia. Something the matter?”
“I… I was wondering… um… if
perhaps you could… um…”
Leefah raised her eyebrows, “Help
with?”
Georgia stuttered, “Oh... um…
well…”
Morgana strutted by, “I bet I know
what she’s asking. She was wondering if she could learn your secret!” she
yelled.
Georgia blushed, “No no nooo!! I
was only going to ask if she could… say what it was like to be so powerful…”
Georgia muttered as she twiddled her thumbs.
“Oh… well…” Leefah began as she
sat up, “As you know, I’m considered one of the most powerful witches in the
world thanks to my Spellcaster level.
Morgana butted in, “It’s odd to
think a simple level determines your strength…”
“Well, my father and mother were
part of a group known as the seven witches circle you see. Only, my mother and
father have both passed away… so it’s more like the five witches circle…”
Leefah replied.
Georgia looked at her, “Of all
the famous witch groups, I’ve never heard of that one…”
“I wouldn’t expect anyone to really.
Im the only remaining Kagyura left in the family, which of course is named as
one of the most elite witch families, that’s how you know me right?”
Georgia nodded her head, “So…
who are the other people in that group then?”
“Well, in order from weakest to
strongest, there’s me, Zaleria Cromwell of Sunset Tides, and Angel Nyx of
Midnight Hollow. We are level 9 spellcasters, but the top witches are level 10.
Their names are Draconias Dressrosa, and Mydia Mallous. Both reside in Dragon
Valley and are constantly fighting over top rank.”
Chasity walked over with a tray
of drinks, “You know Leelee, I’d say you could easily beat Draconias and Mydia”
Chasity said, trying to complement Leefah.
“I dunno… they are both from
high ranking familes like me… and their families have them skilled in arts of
spellcasting and such…. I don’t mind being number 5 though” Leefah said
blushing.
Georgia smiled, “Wow! So are you
guys all best buds then?” Georgia asked excitedly.
Leefah frowned, “No... Not at
all…”
Georgia’s excitement faded, “What
do you mean?”
“Well… Since we are constantly
in combat for top rank, we aren’t exactly friends. I’m sure we are all acquaintances…
but not best buds like I am with Chasity or you Georgia” Leefah said as she
took a sip of the soda Chasity had brought.
Georgia beamed with happiness, “You…
you consider us buds?!”
“Hmm? Well yeah sure, why not? Any
friend of Chasity’s is a friend of mine” Leefah replied smiling.
“Well then of course we are a
pair of pals too” Morgana said as she flicked her wrist and began fanning
herself.
Desirae looked over from her
towel, “So then ‘best buddies’ can you all quiet down. The beach is supposed to
be relaxing” Desirae called as she was suddenly hit with a beach ball. She sat
up angrily and took off her sunglasses, “WHO DID THAT!” she screamed.
A little girl and boy looked at
her confused. “Um… miss lady person, you hit our ball…” the little girl said.
Desirae glared, “Whatever, take
your stupid ball” she screamed as she kicked it and almost pegged the girl in
her face. The two kids frowned angrily and walked off.
“Wasn’t that a little uncalled
for?” Chasity asked from her spot next to Leefah.
Desirae put her hands on her
hips and watched the kids leave. She turned around and closed her eyes, “Not
really, kids now adays need to be punished more…”
Leefah laughed, “Cmon Desirae,
lighten up. They didn’t mean any harm.”
Desirae turned around to look at
the kids but they were both gone, “Uh….” She looked around her and couldn’t see
them. “They’re…. they’re gone…”
Georgia looked over this time, “I’m
sure they went to their parents. C’mon and relax okay?”
Desirae grew worried, “How did
they get away so fast…” she thought to herself. She shook the thought from her
head and went to sit down with the other girls.
The girls paused from their long
chat and saw the sun begin to set. Leefah stood up and stretched her arms and legs.
“Wellll, looks like we should head on home I guess…”
Georgia stood up, “Wait, I heard
there will be a bonfire on the beach. Leefah, what do you say we go get some
ice cream again and we can all stay for the party?”
Chasity smiled, “I could go for
some ice cream. I’ll take mint chocolate chip kay?”
Desirae lowered her book on
mugging people, “I’ll have blue raspberry.”
Morgana stood up too, “I’ll go
with you both, I prefer a certain kind only Jefferey from the ice cream stand can
make.”
Leefah and Georgia leaned
together, “I thought the guy who made the ice cream was named Jason…” Leefah
whispered.
Georgia nodded, “We can’t expect
her to get everyone’s name right so we’ll take what we can get.”
The three girls went walking off
together towards the nearby ice cream shop.
Desirae looked off at the
sunset, “Well, I guess we should get ready for the party right?”
Chasity lowered her head and
laughed, “I know exactly the dress to wear to get Leelee to finally accept my
love!!”
Desirae glared at her, “I dunno
if she’s on the same boat with you…”
Leefah, Georgia, and Morgana
entered the ice cream palace. The door as it opened and closed rang a tiny
bell.
“Just a minute!” called a voice,
“I’m making new batches for tomorrow. Go ahead and get in line.”
Morgana twisted her legs
together, “Oh dear… I seem to have to use the powder room…”
Leefah squirmed as well, “I… I
have to go too…” she said nervously.
Georgia smiled, “You girls go
on, I’ll save a spot in line… even if this place is empty…”
Leefah gratefully shook Georgia’s
hand and ran off to the bathroom with Morgana.
Georgia looked around the dark
front room. “Um… Jason… It’s kind of dark in here… are there any light
switches?”
A pan fell in the kitchen, “Oh
crap!” called the voice, “Oh... um... right... There’s one near the register.”
Georgia shivered from a small
breeze blowing through an open window of the shop. The shadows created by the
sunset made the shop have an ominous vibe. She gulped and walked towards the
front counter. Her bare feet on the ground made her shiver even more. Once she
reached the counter she looked around for the switch. “I… I don’t see it…”
Another pan fell, “oh… maybe it’s
by the front door…” the voice called out.
Georgia sighed, “Uh… You couldn’t
have told me that before…”
Suddenly, the front door opened
and the bell rang.
Georgia was surprised, “It must
be Chasity or Desirae…” she turned around but her mouth dropped.
A large figure dressed in all
black stood before her.
“Oh… Hello…” Georgia said to the
figure. She tried squinting to see the persons face but couldn’t make anything
out. She frowned, “Chasity? Desirae? Are you playing a joke on me?” She walked
towards the figure for the light switch, “It’s not very fun” she began but was interrupted
when the figure grabbed her by her throat. “Gah…. What… What are you doing…?” She
choked out. She began kicking her feet and knocked over a couple chairs in the
progress.
Suddenly, Morgana came sprinting
towards the figure and jump kicked it right in the stomach.
The figure was sent flying
backwards and onto a group of tables.
Georgia, now on the ground, was
rubbing her throat and coughing. “Th… thank you…”
Morgana tsked and ignored
Georgia’s thanks, “I’ll have you know that nobody lays a finger on those I call
my friends you overgrown shadow!” Morgana shouted. She laughed and flicked her
wrist, raising her fan to her face, she then laughed snobbishly.
The figure sat up and glared at Morgana.
Georgia looked and saw it was
heading for Morgana, who was still laughing. “LOOK OUT MORGANA!” she shouted.
But it was too late, the figure punched
Morgana with such force she was sent flying backwards and onto Georgia. Two
girls were now stuck together on the floor but their lotioned bodies kept
making them slide back onto each other.
The figure opened their palm and
began charging up a bright orb of red energy.
Georgia and Morgana stopped
stumbling on each other and screamed at the sight of the figure prepping for
attack. Morgana and Georgia wrapped
their arms around each other, “I’m not ready to die!” Georgia shouted.
“I’m too pretty to die young…. You
though... you could use some work Georgia dear…” Morgana shouted.
“Hey!” shouted a voice.
The girls looked over and saw
Leefah emerge from the bathrooms.
The figure turned and looked at
Leefah.
“As I recall, those are my
friends you just assaulted…” Leefah said though gritted teeth.
The figure remained silent. They
looked at Georgia and Morgana who were terrified and shrug them off.
Morgana gasped, “I… I think the
figure is about to attack Leefah…”
Georgia’s stare intensified, “That
wouldn’t be smart…”
Leefah shot her arm out and a
wand formed within her grip.
“The stance Leefah is in, means
she’s going to use a specific spell…” Georgia stated.
The figure leaned over and
charged at Leefah.
Leefah began glaring at the
figure and magic energy began to surround her.
“She’s gonna be crushed!” Morgan
screamed.
“No, more like that person will
be crushed!” Georgia said excitedly.
Leefah flicked her wand and
shouted, “Reflection Vector!”
The figure began running faster
and raised its fist at Leefah who didn’t bother batting an eyelash. The figure
lowered its fist towards Leefah and smashed into the magic energy, and was
suddenly chucked backwards and out of the shop!
Georgia and Morgana stood up and
looked at Leefah who was grinning devilishly.
“Now then, who’s ready for ice
cream?” Leefah asked, returning to her cheerful self.
Georgia sat on the beach with
the girls around the bonfire. She watched as Leefah was chased by Chasity and
as Morgana posed for pictures. She stood up and walked towards the ocean,
letting the waves run over her feet.
Leefah came over panting and
smiled at Georgia. “How’s it going?” she asked.
Georgia looked off in the
distance, “I’m fine… Just… Amazed at that technique!” she turned to Leefah, “Someday
I’ll be as strong as you… I… I hope…” she said confidently but then blushed and
turned back to look in the distance.
Leefah smiled, “Well then, I
await the day we have our Spellcaster duel!” she said excitedly.
Up on a nearby cliff, the figure
from before looked at the girls on the beach. They lowered their head and
became enveloped in a light. Suddenly, the figure turned into two smaller
figures, the boy and girl from earlier.
Another person then walked up to
them. She was wearing an odd outfit and holding a red and black umbrella to
match. “Well done today you two…” she said sweetly.
The boy and girl watched the
party silently.
“Now now, You’re done for now…
We’ll have our fun when we finish setting up…” the woman said. Her hair was
styled as though she was from the 50’s and her face made her look almost like a
plastic doll. She twirled her umbrella in her hands, “Only a few more days… till
the blood moon circus” she said as she watched Leefah and the others dance next to the bonfire.
