Chapter 15

Bella slammed her foot into Chasity’s stomach, rolling her backwards through the rocky dirt that surrounded Maple’s cabin.
Chasity’s coughed and struggled to breathe in. Her eyes were barely open and she could see the fear in Leefah’s eyes from the windows as she banged trying to break out.
Leefah stepped back and took her wand out but was stopped by Maple.
Maple walked to the door and rubbed her hand along the doorknob and nodded. “It’s Magic Lock…”
Leefah stomped her foot angry and ran back to the window, “We have to help her!”
Mitzi looked up drained of energy, “What’s Magic Lock granny?”
Maple looked back and sighed, then hobbled over to her cupboard for a few packets of tea. “Magic Lock is spell used by upper level casters to lock themselves away for study. Unfortunately, that Woman has been gifted the touch by a Higher Level, perhaps that ringmaster, and has locked us in.”
Desirae raised her head, “How do we unlock it? We need to get back out there and save Georgia and Morgana!”
Leefah and Maple looked over surprised, “You know where Georgia is?!” they asked.
Desirae nodded, “Me and Morgana got kidnapped by this… really pitch black figure… and they took us to the circus. We tried to break out but… Only I managed to escape… I ran straight her since I knew Maple would be able to be of use and saw you hanging out with her through the cracks under the stage.”
Leefah walked over and hugged Desirae excitedly, “Awesome! Then we gotta get to the circus now don’t we?” she said with a teasing wink.
                Desirae looked surprised, “But… we’re trapped inside….”
Maple continued her story, “The only way to break out of a magic lock, is to either knock out the wizard/person who cast it, or to use Teleportation Magic to reach the other side. Quite a nifty invention isn’t it?”
Desirae stood up feebly, “Do any of you know how to use it?”
Maple nodded to Leefah, “I was quite a mentor for Leefah, she’ll go.”
Desirae stomped her foot forward, clenching the wound on her arm she had been inflicted with by Joker’s slicing cards. “I’m going too! I owe it to Georgia!”
Maple finished making her tea and walked over to Mitzi and Desirae, handing each of them a cup. “Actually, you three will be going. Mitzi needs the practice, she may not look like much and is quite the Ditzy Chick… but she’ll help you out.”
Leefah looked over at her confused, “What about you Maple?”
Maple smiled and held her hand up, “I’ll stay here dears, I’ll find what the moon does and send Chasity over with the info.
Leefah clasped her hands against her face in shock, “Oh crap! We forgot about her!” she ran over to the window and saw Chasity racing around Bella in a circle.
Chasity flapped her wings at almost light speed and zoomed around, trying to make Bella dizzy. She looked over and saw Leefah and stopped. She shot her hand up and winked at Leefah, “Don’t worry Leelee! I got this, I’ll catch up later!”
Leefah’s tension grew less, “She’s so crazy…” She then turned around and walked to Desirae and Mitzi, who looked full of energy.
Mitzi looked at her body happily and amazed, “Granny, it looks like your tea worked!”
Maple nodded wisely, “Yes dear, I taught one class of Potion Making but felt it was too boring so I taught myself the rest of the time.”
Mitzi and Desirae ran over and stood behind Leefah.
Leefah held her hands together and closed her eyes as though she were about to recite a prayer.
Suddenly, a magic circle formed around her, Mitzi, and Desirae that enveloped them in a bright yellow light. Then, Leefah, Mitzi, and Desirae all disappeared into the light and exited Maple’s cabin.
Maple then turned and walked back to her library to continue her search for the Moon, but ultimately gave up and walked to her computer to look up shirtless picks of hunky men.

Outside, Chasity and Bella continued their fight. Chasity had become battered and bruised, while Bella had barely a scratch on her.
Bella jumped and shot rapid kicks at Chasity’s head, but Chasity managed to narrowly dodge.
Chasity jumped up and flew upwards out of the reach of Bella’s kicks.
Bella slammed her foot on the ground, making a mini dent in the rubble.
Chasity called down to her, “So, why are you here belly dancer!”
Bella crossed her arms, “Orders… I’m helping someone because they asked…”
Chasity narrowed her eyes at Bella, “Did that ringmaster send you….”
Bella looked up at her, “If you mean Joker, then yes… thought I wouldn’t say he’s REALLY calling the shots…”
Chasity raised her eyebrows surprised, “Why do you say that…”
Bella looked up and saw she had an opening. She jumped at the speed of light and slammed her foot down on Chasity’s head, slamming her back down onto the ground. She landed back down and dusted her hands off, “Because he can’t really call the shots… We’re his friends….”
Chasity looked up, her head had a small wound in it that was trickling blood down across her face. “Would he really order his friends around like this… making you attack someone you can’t beat!”
Bella tssked and shot forward again.
Chasity rolled to the side and shot her boot out, tripping Bella, and making her tumble onto the ground. Chasity stood back up and raised herself into the sky, “I’m sorry but I have all info I want to learn from you, perhaps your friends have more for me?” she brought her hands outwards and opened her palms. Her body then became enveloped in a bright Orange Aura.
Bella looked at her, analyzing the move she was making.
Chasity landed back down, “This aura is called Fairy Dance… Fairies use it to increase their power! I guess you could say it’s a nod to your fighting technique…”
Bella gasped, realizing that Chasity knew how she fought.
Chasity winked, “Considering Fairies have to fight more hand to hand combat than a Spellcaster. I know practically all techniques, Belly Dance is what yours is called correct? It makes your body move in ways that seem normal but is actually just trickery.”
Bella grit her teeth, “So what! Doesn’t mean you’ll win!”
Chasity laughed and bent over, watching Bella near her.
Bella then stopped and stepped backwards, “You… you aren’t attacking…”
Chasity winked again, “You aren’t close enough. Fairy Dance technique is a way in which I can move quicker and act quicker. If you thought I moved fast before, just wait and see what I can actually do!”
Bella charged forward again angrily, “I don’t care what you think you can do! I’m doing as I’m told!”
Chasity charged forward as well with her fist raised, “And I’m doing this because Leelee needs my help! The less people she has to deal with, the better!”
The two girls slammed their fists together, causing a massive increase in power to surround them. They bother grit their teeth as power flowed past their faces and upwards, causing a minor explosion that knocked both of them back onto the ground.
Bella spit onto the ground and stepped back up to attack but stopped when she looked directly into the eyes of Chasity, who had already moved and was looming over her.
Chasity winked, “Now then, I’ll be taking my victory for Leelee!” she said excitedly, and stomped her foot on Bella’s stomach.
Bella let out a loud blood curdling scream and rolled around on the ground in pain.
Chasity stepped back and watched as Bella felt pain sear her body. “Belly Dance, the only way to defeat it is to attack the person’s stomach. Simple as that.”
Bella slowly stopped rolling around and gasped for air. Her body felt weak and she was drained of all her energy, she had been defeated.
Chasity looked around at the small mess they had made.
Maple made her way out of her house, “It’s about time you beat her dear!”
Chasity rubbed her head awkwardly, “Lemme guess… you’re gonna grade me…”
Maple shook her head, “Not now! You need to head down to that circus and help the girls, If I’m correct, there are four more people to deal with and there are six of you!... Considering you all just need to save Georgia and that Morgana girl…”
Chasity grit her teeth, “You mean Horgana got captured…. Can’t we just let them keep her?”
Maple sighed, “Now isn’t the time… The blood moon is beginning to form.”
Chasity looked back off the cliff that leads down to Sunset Valley from Maple’s cabin. “Do you know what they want with the blood moon?”
Maple nodded, “They want the power it gives. Apparently, all supernatural with in the moon’s light receive a massive increase in their power!”
Chasity spread her wings out, “Considering their ringmaster, Joker, is calling the shots… I’ll bet that he’s after it… But for what reason?”
“I’ve put two and two together, He’s after the resurrection spell.” Maple replied.
Chasity looked back, “Resurrection…. Zaleria’s spell? Why that one?”
Bella looked up weakly, she knew the answer… but she pretended to stay passed out. She couldn’t bear to speak the truth.
Chasity clenched her fist and looked down at the Circus tent confidently, “Whatever the reason, we’ll stop them! We’ll let you know how it goes Maple, cya later! Leelee needs me!” Chasity called as she zoomed off towards the circus.
Maple smiled, “These girls are never going to change are they….” She looked down curiously at Bella. She walked over and placed her hand on her head, “You’re having conflicted emotions dear…. Why don’t you come inside?”
Bella’s eyes shot open surprised and she looked at Maple’s caring elderly face. “What do you mean?”
Maple let out a tiny chuckle, “I mean, lets go inside and talk. You’re bottling up a lot and it’s not healthy for a young girl like you. Now come inside dear, let’s have a cup of tea.”
