Desirae’s feet picked up a storm
of dust after she sprinted towards the black figure Prim and Rue managed to
create.
The children looked back and saw
they made enough distance from the circus and looked at Desirae, then morphed
back to their separate selves.
Desirae stopped and breathed
heavily, she was already tired from trying to escape and fight Joker. “No
surprise there, I figured you kids were involved…”
Prim and Rue stood there with
blank expressions on their face as they gave Desirae death glares.
Rue held the key in his hand, “You’ll
be needing to attack children if you honestly want this…”
Desirae smirked, “I’m sure I can
handle you pipsqueaks, Plus I’m not over the fact we never finished our fight
in the field before!”
Prim laughed, “Oh please lady,
get a grip!”
Desirae grit her teeth, “And I’m
not over you hitting me with that stupid ball at the beach!”
Rue backed up a little, “She has
some anger problems…”
Prim scoffed, “Yeah she does,
let’s take care of her!”
The twins grabbed hands and
morphed back into their pitch black figure.
Desirae stood up straight,
looking up towards the moon, and held the necklace up in its light, fiercely
beginning her transformation. She looked
down at her necklace and tapped the gem in the center, suddenly becoming
enveloped in a blue aura. Her body lifted from the ground and her clothes
disintegrated from her. She then started twirling in the air and different
clothes began to form around her pure white skin. Her hair grew longer as well,
into two pig tails. Her feet shot out next and rubber boots slid right onto
them. Her clothes then molded around her figure into a blue blouse and skirt.
Her arms were then covered in bright white gloves and her necklace split off her
and shattered, then came back together into the form of a tiara and shot itself
onto her forehead.
She lowered herself back onto the ground and looked at The Twins
confidently. She smirked, “My name is
Prisma Gal!” she shouted. She then spun and made a deadly pose, her hands
having their index, pinkie, and thumbs shot forward at the figure as though she
were taking aim with two guns. “I’m the guardian of Sunset Valley, and the
stars have sent me to punish you!”
The figure darted to the side and shot a bright red beam at Desirae,
slicing a piece of her headband.
Desirae stumbled backwards and gathered an orb of bright blue light in
her hands and shot it at the twins.
The figure stepped to the side, narrowly dodging the speeding orb and
watched it smash into a tree. Once they turned back to look at Desirae, they
were greeted by her boot heel slamming into them and knocking them flat onto
their back.
Inside the figure, Prim struggled to breathe. “I… I think she’s able to
hurt us from inside our body…”
Desirae stomped on the figures hand, “My clothes are able to break
through supernatural barriers, No matter the shape or form. I can smash through
steel with a tiny poke if I wanted to, as long as it was made by a supernatural
action.
The figure glared at Desirae and then melted into the ground as a shadow.
Desirae’s foot smashed into the ground and left a footprint. She looked
up and around for the shadow but was unable to find Prim and Rue. As she
stepped forward, a red beam of energy shot down and nearly sliced her foot off.
She gasped and looked up only to be tackled by the figure.
The figure held it’s hands tights around Desirae’s neck and began to burn
her within it’s grips.
Desirae screamed out in agony and lifted her foot, smacking the figure in
the back of the head and off of her. She rolled over and gasped for air.
Both of them had tired out from the fighting and were now moving slower.
The twins stood up and gathered a weak ball of red energy in their hands.
Their figure’s forehead has a tiny cut in it that caused a trickle of blood to
run down their face and drip onto the ground in a small pool.
Desirae felt her foot and could tell her leg had probably been broken
after getting crushed but stood up feebly in her spot and charged up a ball of
blue energy in her left hand. “I-I’ve fasted tougher opponents!”
Inside the figure, Rue noticed his lip had begun to bleed along with Rue’s
arm. The two clasped their wounds and knew they were being pushed to their
limits.
“We must do this for Joker!” Prim said worriedly. She sounded more like a
worried little girl over the calm and collected teen she had come off as.
Rue nodded weakly, “I know Prim… We’ll finish the girl off and Joker will
succeed”
Desirae fired the ball at them and broke the two’s bond, separating them
on the ground in their normal form.
Rue and Prim felt themselves grow numb from the shock of the ball hitting
them.
Prim tried to rise but couldn’t find the power to, letting out a small
tear from her eye seeing she had been defeated.
Desirae tried stepping forward but tumbled onto the ground. “I… I win…”
she said through deep breaths.
Rue slammed his fist into the
ground, “Shoot! What do we do Prim?!....”
Prim lay on the ground without a
reply.
Rue nudged his head forward and
noticed her body had grown pale. His eyes widened in shock, “P-Prim….. Prim?!”
Prim gave no reply.
Rue tried to move but was unable
to help as his sibling took her last breaths.
Desirae noticed the pain that
grew on Rue’s tiny face and began to crawl towards him.
Rue buried his head into the
ground and felt tears stream onto the thick dirt below him, mixing with the
blood from his lip. All her could move was his head and his hand. He clasped
the dirt in a tight fist and let our more emotions than he could have ever held
inside. When he looked back up, he saw Desirae holding Prim’s tiny head within
her lap.
Desirae looked upon Prim’s
gentle face and felt a tiny smile grow on her face.
Rue grit his teeth angrily, “How
can you feel happiness about this! YOU KILLED MY SISTER!” he shouted angrily.
Desirae shook her head, “She’s….
Peaceful…. She looks so serene….
Prim’s lips had little color to
them. Her eyes had closed gently and her face seemed to be that of a girl who
never truly experienced a happy childhood.
Rue clawed the ground, using all
his might to reach his sister and shove Desirae off of her.
Desire leaned her head forward
and gently kissed the top of Prim’s head.
Rue screamed out of anger, “STAY
OFF OF HER!”
Suddenly, Prim’s eyes fluttered
open slowly and she looked around.
Rue stopped crawling and gasped,
“P-Prim….”
Prim sat up, able to move and
she felt her head. “It… It feels like my head was smacked by a bowling ball….”
She rubbed the back of her head and noticed Rue. She gasped surprised, “Brother!”
she yelled and crawled over to him. “Are… Are you crying?”
Rue smiled happily, “I thought…
I thought you….” He said confused and looked at Desirae.
Desirae stood up once again and
winced a little at her leg, but shook off the tiny pain that had remained. She
walked over to where the key to Georgia’s cage had flown and landed.
Rue felt his arms wake up a
little and managed to raise himself off the ground. “Wait… Lady!”
Desirae turned around, “What is
it kid?” she asked.
Rue smiled shyly, “T-Thank you…
I dunno what you did but… Thank you…”
Desirae smirked, “It’s called
the kiss of life. My attacks aren’t meant much for fighting, more for sideline
fighting like paralyzing or stopping movement or healing… The kiss of life is
something I never was able to try out but since you both are kids, It wouldn’t
have sit right with me to let you die…”
Prim stood up confused, “But,
How come I nearly died!”
Desirae began walking, “Because
you’re both under a lot of stress, more than your tiny bodies can handle. My
suggestion….”
Prim and Rue leaned forward for
her advice.
As Desirae departed she raised
the back of her hand and waved to them, “Quit the circus and go have a
childhood!” Then quickly ran off to release Georgia from her imprisonment.
A couple minutes later, Prim and
Rue sat together and looked up at the moon.
Rue had a small smile on his
face.
Prim looked over at him
curiously, “Brother, Is something the matter?”
Rue shook his head. “Not at all…
I just couldn’t stand the thought of not having my twin sis by my side…”
Prim laughed, “You’re so funny
brother!”
The two then fell back onto the
ground and sprawled out, looking up at the brightening moon.
Rue grew worried, “What do you
suppose Joker will do when he learns the truth…”
Prim lowered her head so her
bangs covered her eyes, “I’d rather not think about that Brother… we’ll find
out when we get there…”
“You two wonder the same thing
huh?” said a voice.
The children turned around and
smiled, seeing Bella. They both jumped up and ran over, instantly hugging her.
For the first time in Bella’s
life, she let out a tiny smile and hugged them back.
“Now now you three, we have to
get moving. I believe your friend is in need of some assistance?” said another
voice.
The kids looked over and saw an
old woman in pink robes carrying a walking stick. “Who are you?” they both
asked.
The woman smiled, “I’m Maple children,
and I know everything about you dears. I’m here to help!” Maple replied
happily, and began walking the two slowly towards the circus lot.
